Print from your laptop computer

You can connect to the printing system available for our Library's public computers from your laptop computer. Click on the link below to start the auto-installer. After the auto-installer completes, a Print Client will open on your machine. When you are finished and shutdown your computer, the application will disappear.

Troubleshooting

Laptops with Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not have the ability to print wirelessly set up by default. If you download and run the .exe file above, but receive an "unable to locate printers" message when you attempt to print, this may be the case. You will need to manually enable printer sharing on your laptop.

How Do I Enable Printer Sharing?

Click StartControl PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork and Sharing Center. In the left pane, click Change Advanced Sharing Settings. Access the appropriate network profile, such as Home or Work. Under File and Printer, “Turn on file and printer sharing” should be selected. If this option isn’t selected, select it and then click Save Changes.
