Library Card Eligibility
North Kansas City Public Library cards are available free-of-charge to residents of Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties in Missouri and Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas.
Library Card Application
Ater completing the form, please bring it into the Library to sign, along with Photo Identification so we can verify the signature and you will be given your new Library card. We want to protect your personal information and identity.

Required Identification
Adults
Photo identification confirming name is needed to apply for a library card. With appropriate photo identification, a Library card may be issued at the time of application.
Children 12 and Under
Children should be present at the time of application. A parent or guardian must sign the application. The parent's signature acknowledges responsibility for the library card and material(s) borrowed against the card. ID is not required.The Library offers only filtered Internet access on High School Media Center (Lower Level) public access computers. Any person under the age of 18 must use these computers as per Missouri state law.
Children 13 and Over
Children must present one piece of photo ID; they may use either a school ID, Missouri ID, driver's license, or other reasonable documentation for ID. If parent or guardian is present, they may give verbal identification. Children 13 and over are responsible for materials checked out.
